Polar Embassy is a KreativPilot!

Opening a business anywhere is hard, and Germany loves to surprise with hoops. I feel privileged and touched that my adopted home country has now also surprised me with a boost: a support system and resources to grow my cheeky side-hustle Polar Embassy into something bigger. Let me know if you have good strategies to deal with Imposter Syndrome.

Polar Embassy has been selected as one of the 32 teams recognised as Kultur- und Kreativpilot*innen! The year-long mentoring program recognises leaders in creative and cultural industries from all around Germany working on social impact projects in innovative ways. Here is an introduction to this year’s cohort (in German).

Thank you to the people who voted for me, the friends who sparred with me in interview prep, the family who supports me every day, and the jury for including me among this group of sharp, open, and brilliant entrepreneurs and advocates innovating in some of Germany’s most pressing problem areas. They are amazing!! The full list of awardees is here.

This recognition extends Polar Embassy’s platform to spotlight some truly incredible Berlin-based queer artists. And it helps me publish more sex-positive, sustainable, gender-neutral, and educational products. Stay tuned with us via Instagram for more about the program and launches. Thank YOU again!
